Sex Offenders

The Scarlet Numbers 6.10.12

Hello World.  Let’s talk about justice for a minute….Justice is a “touchy” subject in America because well…there’s practically no such thing.  If I were to go in and apply for a job right now they’d run my name and social security number through a criminal background check and realize….

“Scarlet is a VIOLENT criminal!”

That’s right.  A violent criminal who will punch you in the face if you don’t give me your purse or wallet or cool looking eye-patch.  That’s just how I roll….

Except for the fact I’ve never been violent to anyone in my entire life.

And I’ve never stolen an eyepatch.

“Wait…how are you a violent criminal if you’re never been violent to anyone?”

That’s a good question Mr. Headscratcher.  The answer is simple: The Justice System in America is Complete BULLSHIT. Let me explain my offense and how it doesn’t in any way represent my actions, my character, or THE TRUTH…

Once upson a time a mean old man stole two thousand dollars from me and I was PISSED.  So I got all of my violent criminal friends together and decided we’d pay this man a visit for a nice up of tea on a hot summer day…

So all of my friends loaded up in my car and we drove his his apartment…and juuuuust before we sat down do drink our delightful tea my friends beat the living shit of out the man who stole $2,000 dollars from me.

A couple days later this robber goes to the police and says, “I’m gay!” And the police were like…”Okay, so…” And then he was like, “I was beat up!” And then the police put on their good guy badges and said…

“Holy Hate Crime Batman….let’s go arrest those thugs!”

To make a long story short my friends and I were arrested for beating someone up.  Even though I didn’t lay a finger on ANYONE I was still charged as an accomplice because I drove my friends to and away from the scene making myself guilty by association.  And for the REST OF MY LIFE I’ve had an assault charge on my record for “violently beating somebody up.”  It’s complete….

Where is the Justice in America? There is none.  Unless you’ve been to lawschool and studied every law under the sun with a magnifying glass, the chances are you don’t know the law.  So how are we psychically supposed to know what we can and cannot do?  We can’t.  It’s not possible.

Okay…let’s talk about Justice again…I’ll show you what would actually be justice…

If I went out to apply for a job and they ran my criminal background and it said “Accomplice to a violent offense but never actually was violent”

THAT was be JUSTICE.

However, that’s not the case with the law.  It just says “Violent Offense” vaugely on your record for future employers to let their imaginations run wild.

Let’s talk about Sex offenders…

No, I’m not a sex offender but this little girl might be.  She might have been caught “Sexting” and slapped with a charge of being a perverted, dangerous, sex offender.  Her charge won’t say, “Texted Picture Of Underage Self” it will say….

“PERVERT.”

Now just look at this picture….if you want to stay away from a SEX OFFENDER in this country, you’re pretty much screwed.  (Unless you live in Nevada)

How many of these people are little kids?

How many of these people accidently downloaded illegal pornography?

How many of these people were just caught peeing on the side of the road?

None of this matters.

If you have a sex offense…

You’re just as evil as an angry 63 year old man who violent rapes a 5 year old

in the eyes of the law

Justice is blind.  And that’s not a good thing.

I suggest MORE ACCURATE CRIMINAL RECORDS that give people “the whole story” rather than just a simple two words that will ruin someone’s entire life.  I’d predict more than HALF of sex offenders aren’t actually dangerous…they were just at the wrong place and the wrong time…

“Want to be my friend on Facebook?”

New La. law: Sex offenders must list status on Facebook, other social media

Is it fair to require sex offenders to list their “sex offender status” on social media sites?  What about violent offenders?  What IS social media would this blog be considered social media?  What if I were required to post VIOLENT OFFENDER in the title of all of my blogs.  Would that be fair?
  No.

What is your opinon?  Do you think that society is too hard on “sex offenders?”

Did you read the recent story about the man who was beat to death in Shiner TX?

Listen to this phonecall. This was made by a man who just beat another man to death after catching a man raping his 5 year old daughter.  IN ANY OTHER INSTANCE imaginable this man would be charged for murder or at least manslaughter, however, due to the nature of the incident his murderous violence was immediately forgiven.

Is that okay?

Let me know what you think.

To be honest, if I was in this dad’s shoes, I would have done the same, and like him, I probably would have freaked when I realized I killed the bastard. I’m glad he wasn’t charged, but it’s a bad situation all around. The little girl will be messed up FOREVER. Dad will wish he could have prevented it from happening in the first place. He will also for the rest of his days know he took someones life, even if it was probably the best thing that could have happened. How many more girls/and or boys lives might this freak have ruined before getting caught. I feel sick. It’s awful. I also understand how the laws really are not fair. I’ve seen several news stories the last few years of teenage couples – the guy is 18, gf is a couple years younger, he has nude pics of her on his phone, email, whatever. Someone finds it and all of a sudden its kiddie-porn. That shit stays with you forever. Is that the same as some man creeping on little girls? of course not, but the label is the same and he’ll never get rid of it.

    • They should just clarify the law saying “it’s okay to kill pedophiles if you catch them in the act.” I think it’s hypocritical to just “let the guy off the hook” he’s basically just as guilty as Zimmerman.

It is hypocritical, you’re right. As much as I’m glad the poor dad didn’t have to go through more stress and b.s. after what he just went through, he really should have had to go through the motions, if for nothing else than to prove that he was justified in his actions.

    • or maybe not? I don’t know. It’s an extremely touchy subject. This really just shows…Texas is a completely different place where a lot of the time “the law’s don’t apply” I’m really unsure what to think about this but from the phonecall…he sounded like a complete psycho.
